something similar to this would be our logo/icon. I was trying to think about "community by design". I was showing community with the grouping of buildings or city scape. I think it is a good idea to reference actual buildings in Greensboro since we are working with that community specifically. The building in the center foreground of my sketch is supposed to be Gatewood building and the sructure on top of the building behind it on the right is the stucture on the Greensboro Cultural Center building.
this logo would go on whatever product we come up with.
It could easily be a bumper sticker etc.
We could also make tiny card sized pieces that are minature versions of the sculpture and that can be folded or poped up from a flat piece of paper. These could be distriuted around to stores, coffee shops, left in elevators and newspaper boxes, anywhere. It would be fun to find and could have information like a 2nd year IARC website address on the back. I think that it would be something that people would want to pick up and keep.
Our video could start with someone cutting the shape out of paper & then folding it up. Then it could go to the sculpture, and maybe then to Gatewood building, to our studio, then to someones desk where they are cutting the shape out of paper again making a link from the community to design and to us.
The poster could be just a white sheet with a cut out of the buildings that would show the surface behind it. Maybe at the top it would say community by design and have a website/facebook address in a very light gray or maybe that would be cut out too.
I think it would be good to wheat paste these around town. I will post a link showing some examples of wheat pasting at the top right of my blog.

*Sometimes the video shows a commercial when you open it, I think you can just choose something like "go on to video" or "skip commercial".
Also, I thought that another idea to get people talking could be to make a stencil with the same cut out & chalk it onto sidewalks around town.

Can someone call me & let me know what you decide & what I need to do? Thanks, Laura
